Just one more day remains until ADM baseball hits the postseason scene against Heart Of Iowa Conference member Greene County in Harlan.

The Tigers will enter their postseason match up tomorrow with a 10-7 record against non conference opponents this season. Overall ADM is hitting .287 with 155 RBI’s on the season although against non conference teams ADM is hitting .294 with 87 RBI’s and three of the teams 5 home runs. The Tigers on the season have vastly improved their play with runners in scoring position increasing from a mark of .257 last year while this year the Tigers have held a mark over .300 for the vast majority of 2017. Against non conference opposition this season ADM has put up an average of .298 with runners in scoring position.

One of the things ADM baseball has been able to do very well against non conference teams this season is produce offense with two outs. On the year out of the 87 RBI’s against non Raccoon River Conference teams, 39 of those for the Tigers have come with two outs.

On the mound ADM boasts a 4.53 ERA which is a deceiving number because when you strip away defense from the equation, the ADM pitching staff should have an ERA right around 3.27. On the year the Tiger pitching staff has done fairly well against opponents holding the opposing batting to .244 at the plate.

ADM’s test tomorrow in Greene County comes in hitting .283 with 95 RBI’s on the season. Senior Trey Tucker will be the individual to focus on the most for ADM hitting .412 at the plate with a team leading 20 RBI’s. ADM has a plethora of individuals to look out for from RBI leader Nick Lindgren (26 RBI’s) to the best batting average in Kade Overton (.392), and mister consistency in Jack O’Brien with just five strikeouts against in all of 2017 just to name a few.
