The 2017 Scholarship Drive is this Saturday, and it will be finishing up in Adel.

The annual cruise and car show will be taking off from Caribou Coffee in Waukee at around 5 p.m., then it will make its way down Highway 6 before finishing at Brickyard Burgers and Brews. In addition to giving people an opportunity to show off their cars, the event is also a fundraiser aimed at helping teens pay for college. There is a $30 entry fee, and 90% of the registration goes towards two scholarships to the Des Moines Area Community College’s Automotive School.

The cruise is being sponsored by Cars and Coffee of Des Moines, which will give participants a free travel mug, event decal, and raffle ticket. Prizes include a Magnum Watch and a 32-inch smart TV.
