The Perry School District is less than a month away from being back in session, so parents and students are reminded of important dates coming up.
New teachers and administrators, as well as mentors in the Teacher Leadership and Compensation program, will report back on August 7th for professional development. The rest of the teachers will have professional development starting August 16th. That will lead all the way up until the first day of school, which for 1st-12th graders will be Wednesday, August 23rd. Students will be released one hour early on the first day.
Kindergarten will start on August 24th, and then preschool classes will start August 29th. Looking ahead, winter break will run from December 22nd through January 2nd, spring break will be March 12-16 of 2018, and the last day of school is scheduled for May 25.
