Homecoming week culminates at Panorama high school tonight with the varsity football game as the Panthers look to regain winning form. Three lost fumbles contributed to Panorama’s 21-7 district opening loss last week to the Madrid Tigers. The Panthers welcome the Ogden Bulldogs to Panora for a Class 1A District 6 matchup. Panorama bested Ogden in last year’s meeting, 49-14.

Panorama head football coach Lyle Alumbaugh says with Ogden being a member of the Panther’s conference; the team has an idea of the Bulldog’s top athletes from other sports. “They’ve got a very talented quarterback; he’s young as well, he’s a sophomore, but he’s still an awfully good athlete.” Alumbaugh said, “They’re probably a little bit younger on defense than they are on offense, but (Ogden) always put a good team together, they’re well coached, and we expect them to come to play.

The matchup features two sophomores under center. Sam Christensen is Odgen’s signal caller, topping the team with 558 yards passing, 217 rushing yards, and nine touchdowns scored. Luke South’s 314 yards of total offense leads Panorama, finding the end zone three times on the ground. Panorama’s homecoming game versus Odgen is set to kick off at 7 p.m.
