The annual Media Day for the Greene County High School track and field teams is coming up on Friday, March 8. Members of the media, track & field coaches, as well as the athletes, will gather at the high school gym in Jefferson starting at 3:30 p.m. This is the first season track and field athletes from the East Greene and Jefferson-Scranton districts will be on the same team as the Greene County Rams. A number of State meet qualifiers, both girls and boys, from the past from both districts, are at the core of this season’s teams. Dean Lansman is the head boys’ coach while Kelly Simpson is the girls’ head coach. Numbers are good for both squads as the coaching staffs report 40 boys and 35 girls out for track & field.
