An Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers alum caught a touchdown pass on an NFL football field over the weekend. Division II’s No. 1 Northwest Missouri State Bearcats (5-0) played at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium Saturday in the annual Fall Classic football game versus the Central Missouri Mules (3-2). Jordan Grove, a 2013 ADM graduate, was on the field for multiple snaps. He contributed to the scoring in the second quarter, finding the end zone on a 10-yard pass from quarterback Zach Martin. It was the first touchdown catch of the season for Grove and the 14th of his collegiate career. Grove finished the game with 32 total offensive yards, including 19 receiving.

The Bearcats escaped Arrowhead with a 24-20 victory, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with seven seconds remaining. Northwest Missouri State improved their record to 11-3 all-time at Arrowhead Stadium and extended their current winning streak to 35 games. Northwests last loss came during Grove’s redshirt freshman season against Minnesota Duluth in the 2014 Division II playoffs, falling in the first round, 25-21. Grove and the Bearcat football team continue their season Saturday at home versus Central Oklahoma (2-3).
