The Charger cross country teams continue to roll into the back end of the season with another strong set of performances last week at the Wildcat Invitational in Menlo.
Kate Crawford won another individual title, with a time of 19 minutes and eight seconds. Emma Swanson came off an injury last week and finished third behind Panorama’s Ella Wadle, with a time of 20 minutes and 21 seconds. Lauryn Embleton finished seventh with a time of 21 minutes and eight seconds. Three more Lady Chargers finished in the top 30. The team came in second place with 46 points, 16 behind Panorama.
The boys also finished in second place, just seven points behind Woodward Academy. Noah Nelsen continues to lead the way for the Chagers, finishing in second with a time of 16 minutes and 45 seconds. Clay BIllheimer and Garrett Young finished in eighth and ninth place respectively. Five additional runners finished inside the top 30.
The Chargers will participate in the South Hamilton Invitational at the Jewell Golf and Country Club this Thursday. This will be the final meet of the season before the WCAC tournament. The meet features 11 schools, including Panorama and other WCAC teams. First race is at 4:30 pm.
