The 2017 high school football season came to an end in southwest Iowa Friday night for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers (1-8 overall). ADM made the trek to Glenwood for a Class 3A District 7 matchup versus the Rams (8-1 overall). The Rams rushing attack proved to be too much for the Tigers in a 42-20 setback. Glenwood racked up 402 yards rushing and ran in all six of their touchdowns. Noah Carter carried the ball eight times for 74 yards, finding the endzone four times. Quarterback Andrew Blum rushed for 101 yards and scored the other pair of rushing touchdowns.

Thirteen of ADM’s 20 points came in the final seven minutes of the game. Quarterback Matthew West closed his high school football career with 181 yards of total offense and three passing touchdowns. Gavin O’ Steen caught a pair of touchdown passes and Cole Knoll caught the other in their last high school football game.

ADM’s closes the season with a 1-8 overall record. The Tigers will lose 16 players to graduation.
