Greene and Boone County Extension and Outreach are sponsoring the final Ogden Ag Marketing series tonight at the Leonard Good Community Center in Ogden.
The two feature speakers are ISU Extension state climatologist Elwynn Taylor and farm management program specialist Steve Johnson. Topics will cover the crop weather outlook and crop marketing strategies for 2013. Greene County Coordinator Michael Cooley says Taylor’s weather outlook discussion will be very important for the county’s crop producers.
“Weather is something that’s on a lot of our crop producer’s minds for 2013 as we’re coming off that 2012 drought. Soil moisture still definitely not where we would like to see it. But until we get there, it’s certainly going to be something at the top of a lot of our producer’s minds.”
No pre-registration is required. Registrations will be taken at the door starting at 6pm with the program to begin at 6:30pm. For more information, contact the Greene County Extension Office at 386-2138.
