The Greene County Historical Society invites everyone to their final program of 2017 on Friday.
The annual holiday music and election of officers will be held this Friday at the Greenewood Center in Jefferson. A lunch will be served at noon, followed by holiday music performed by Greene County High School students from 12:30 to 1pm.
The business meeting will then take place at 1pm, which will also include an election of officers and board members for 2018. The nominated officers for next year includes: President Dale Hanaman, Vice-President Nancy Hanaman, Secretary Joyce Ausberger, Treasurer Becki Cunningham, and Past-President Ces Brunow. Other board members that are nominated for 2018 includes: Margaret Hamilton, Nick Foster, Carol John, Dallas Schrader, Paul White, and Chuck Offenburger. All positions will be voted on by the membership during the business meeting.
Lunch is $8 for historical society members and $10 for non-members. Reservations must be made by today by contacting Nancy Hanaman at 436-7684.
