The Panorama and West Central Valley girls basketball teams square off in conference action tonight.

The Panthers girls will have the home court on their side, along with the momentum of a dominant 58-20 win over rival Des Moines Christian. West Central Valley comes in with some skip to their step as well, as they come off a 4 point victory against Woodward Granger.

The key to the game very well may be how effectively West Central Valley can deal with Panoramas guards. The combination of Bailey Beckman and Devyn Kemble has proven to be deadly so far this season. The duo comes off a contest in which they hung 50 combined points on Des Moines Christian.

For the Panthers, the key will be shutting down Senior Grace Dupuy. She’s Been the danger woman for the Wildcats so far, Averaging 14 points a game and shooting a clean 40 percent from the field.

Tonight’s game certainly is not lacking in conference implications. The Panthers sit at 2-1, just one game behind Conference leaders Earlham. With a chance to gain ground, or at least keep pace as Earlham plays Madrid. For West Central Valley, it’s an opportunity to score a signature victory early in the season.

Opening tip is scheduled for 6:00 P.M tonight in Panora. So make sure to come out and support your local teams!
