A regional organization to celebrating their clients with a holiday party this Saturday in Boone.
Youth Shelter Services is hosting the event at the First Presbyterian Church from 10 to 11:30am. Family Development Specialist Sadie Bohr says the party is for clients who participate in the Family Development and Self-Sufficient Services (FDSS) and Health Futures programs. The event will consist of holiday crafts, hot cocoa, Christmas cookies and Santa will be on-hand to visit with children.
Bohr talks about the services they provided to Greene County residents within the past year.
“We figured out that we’ve served probably around 40 families in the past year with the FDSS and integrated health services programs. That does not include all of the children. And then Greene County and Paton-Churdan seventh graders also participate in the Teen Maze program that happens once per year.”
Bohr invites all of their Greene County clients to their first-ever appreciation event this Saturday.
