The Perry Public Library was forced to close Monday afternoon after their air conditioning system failed and remains closed until further notice.

The Blank Park Zoo program scheduled for Tuesday has been relocated to the Carnegie Library Museum.  Those planning to attend should go directly to the ground floor entrance on the east side and will be able to enjoy the program from the air conditioned comfort of the museum.

All library computers and servers had to be shut down due to the warm temperate in the building.  Therefore, staff are not able to look up, loan or return any materials. Citizens who have materials that are due back this week will be extended by a grace period to compensate for the closure of the library.

Everyone’s cooperation is appreciated.  We’ll let you know when the library will reopen.
