Greene County RamsThe Greene County School District has rescheduled two public input meetings for a possible bond referendum.

OPN Architects was hired by the Greene County School Board to work on the possible project for a regional career academy in partnership with Iowa Central Community College and a new high school. Due to inclement weather, the public meetings in Scranton and Rippey were postponed. The meetings have been rescheduled for Monday, January 29th at 3:30pm at the Scranton Community Center and 5:30pm at the Rippey Community Center.

The meetings are intended to gather comments and suggestions to see what community members would like to see as far as how the buildings look, the layout and what types of classes should be offered at the career academy. School Board member Steve Karber said at one of the community meetings that a plan came about for an entity to provide funding to build a separate competition gymnasium.

Following the final community meetings, conceptual drawings of the buildings and plans for a possible April 3rd bond referendum will be worked on by OPN Architects.
