Greene County finished the high school wrestling regular season with a tenth place finish among 21 teams at the ACGC Charger Invitational on Saturday in Guthrie Center. Seven Rams placed in the top eight, but none finished higher than fourth place.
Sophomore Garrett Tasler at 113 lbs. and junior Clint Dennhardt at 182 each finished fourth. Senior Cayden Gerdes (132) was fifth with junior Bryce Hoyle (195) and junior Joe Anderson (285) were seventh place finishers. Sophomore Will Hansen (138) and junior Brock Wuebker (170) were both eighth.ter
Clarion-Goldfield won the team title with 233 points with Panorama in second at 192. Van Meter/Earlham had 158, followed by Woodward-Granger 153.5, Southeast Valley (Cowrie) 134.5, AHSTW (Avoca) 100, Underwood 88, Southeast Warren (Liberty Center) 85.5, West Central Valley 84.5, Greene County 80, East Union (Afton) 78, Manson-Northwest Webster 74.5, Tri-Center (Neola) 74, ACGC 62, Coon Rapids-Bayard 49, Ogden 42, Nodaway Valley 36, Griswold and Nevada 22, Riverside (Oakland) 16, Moravia 11.
The Rams go to Winterset on Feb. 3 for a Class 2A Sectional Tournament.
