The Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn high school speech teams won’t have to travel far tomorrow, as they compete in the State Large Group Speech Competition.

Perry will be sending four entries to Waukee High School, while ADM is sending eleven. The Perry entries include short film, reader’s theater, and two ensemble acting pieces. Their earliest performance will be at 8 a.m., while their last will start at 10:30. Meanwhile, the ADM entries throughout the day include: freshman and varsity choral reading, reader’s theater, group mime, two musical theater groups, two group improv teams, and three ensemble acting pieces.

There is a $3 recommended donation to attend the competition. It’s recommended to show up early to the centers for the events you wish to view. Entries that earn “I” ratings and receive judge recommendations will advance to the All-State festival on February 17 at Iowa State University.
