acgcThe ACGC golf teams got their season underway Monday at Jester Park Golf Course in Granger. Despite the cold weather, Kena Baier turned in a solid performance, recording a fourth place finish with a score of 55. Baier was the only girl to finish the course. Sally Jo Geckler, Morgan Sheeder, and Jessica Stringer completed a few holes each, but did not finish. Haley Sheeder was also a scratch due to illness.

As for the boys, junior Spencer Grove shot the low round of the day for the Chargers with a 58. Noan Wheatley recorded the second best round of the day for ACGC with 60, followed by McKlain Jorgensen at 62. Seth Danker, Austin Hall, and Cason Benson scored 65, 70, and 75 respectively. The boys finished with a stroke total of 245, finishing third out of three.

Des Moines Christian swept both girls and boys team standings, as well as five of the six top-three finishers for both divisions. The boys will participate in the IKM-Manning Invitational Saturday, while both teams will participate in the Woodward triangular on Monday.
