Twenty-seven organizations in Dallas County were recently awarded grants totalling $135,803 through the Dallas County Foundation.

The funds awarded included $41,802 provided by Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation through its agreement that they receive an allocated portion of the adjusted gross revenue from Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson. The entities receiving grants included charitable organizations, nonprofit groups, and units of government. The most money awarded was $20,000 to Redfield Middle School for a sports field. Other notable grants included: $7,500 to Dallas County Homecare Services for an Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible Bus; $8,000 to Art on the Prairie for a public art sculpture; $10,000 to the City of Linden for a fire department brush truck; and $13,690 for the Redfield West Central Valley Recreation Club for building repairs.
