Dallas County ISU Extension and Outreach is once again offering babysitting clinics this summer.

The two-day clinics are open to youth in 5th grade and above. Topics covered will include: typical child behaviors and development; caring for infants and young children; basic first aid and safety; proper nutrition; age-appropriate activities; and sitter expectations. Clinics will be held at four locations from the end of May through the end of June. The first classes will be held at the Granger Community Center on May 31st and June 1st. Following that, clinics will be held at the Dallas Center Memorial Hall on June 7th and 8th. Next, the class will head to the Adel Public Library on June 18th and 19th. The final location for this summer will be the Redfield City Hall on June 28th and 29th.

Each class will run from 9 a.m. – noon on both days. Cost to attend is $25 for the Granger clinics, and $20 for the others. Space is limited to 20 participants per location, so anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register sooner, rather than later. For more information, or to register, call Dallas County Extension Educator Lisa Mickelson at 515-993-4281, or email her at lmickel@iastate.edu.
