Greene County and Nevada have boys’ Heart of Iowa Activities Conference soccer scheduled for today, but one hour later than originally scheduled. Coach Carl Behne’s 9-6 Rams take on the 6-4 Cubs at 5:30 p.m. in Grand Junction with the JV to play following the varsity match. Word of the 5:30 p.m. was passed along on Monday to Raccoon Valley Radio.

The Cubs are led in scoring by three juniors. Anthony Ellis and Devin See each have seven goals and Taylor Maiefski has five. The Cubs have wins over Class 1A second rated Gilbert by a 3-1 score and a 2-0 win vs. Kuemper Catholic. Greene County lost to both those schools by one goal in each match.

The Rams are led by Brazilian foreign exchange student Leo Marques, who leads all of Iowa in goals scored with 29. Junior Gutierrez had 12 goals with five by Spanish foreign exchange student Luis Tuesta.
