Parents needing to find out information about resources and topics for youth are invited to a Parent Academy night.
Greene County High School Safe and Supportive Schools Grant Coordinator Emily Gannon says two sessions will be offered for parents to learn more about topics relating to youth and how to overcome them with help from community resources.
The Greene County Middle School event will be tonight from 5:30-8pm and the Greene County High School workshops will be Monday, April 22nd from 5:15-8pm during parent-teacher conferences.
Some of the topics covered include employment opportunities in Greene County, internet safety, eating healthy as a family, fake marijuana and the truths about inhalants and risky behaviors.
Plus, there will be community organization booths with information about the services they provide. Some of the organizations will be Greene County Extension and Outreach, New Opportunities of Greene County, Jefferson Library and Greene County Community Center to name a few.
If you would like more information, call Emily Gannon at the Greene County High School at 386-2188.
