The Guthrie Center School Board met in regular session Monday.

The Board approved a budget amendment for the current fiscal year, as well as wages for the 2018-2019 school year. Other action items approved include: the 2018 graduates, the certified staff handbook, equipment breakdown insurance, a rental agreement with the Heartland Area Education Agency, and various facility and equipment purchases for the 2018-2019 school year.

The Board also discussed various elementary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) grants, and the search for the next superintendent. The meeting concluded with recognition of the board members in honor of Iowa School Board Appreciation Month.
