A Jefferson business is looking to expand its facility.
Home State Bank announced plans to add a second-story to their existing facility. President and CEO Sid Jones said in a statement that due to the response of their “continued support of the community and in our pursuit of being leaders in building lasting relationships, we continue to grow in the number of employees and in the services we provide. Not wanting to use more of our parking lot area, the only option was to explore the idea of a second floor. The addition will nearly double the size of our space and allow for continued growth.”
Construction is scheduled to begin later this summer and is anticipated to be enclosed before November. Interior work will then be done through the winter months, with the entire project slated to be done within one year. Temporary office spaces will be moved into the bank’s parking lot by next week.
Work will be done by Kirk Gross and Company, which is the same contractor that the bank has used on previous projects. Plans also include using as many local subcontractors as possible.
