The ACGC baseball team is still looking for its second run scored in program history against Van Meter. They will have a chance to get that today as they square off against the Bulldogs in a West Central Activities Conference matchup.
The game today was originally scheduled Tuesday, but was postponed due to a rainout. In the first game this season, the Bulldogs bested the Chargers 11-0, shutting them out for the second time in program history. In that game Van Meter seniors JJ Durflinger and Mitch Pomeroy secured four of the team’s eight hits. Pomeroy also went the distance on the mound, needing just 45 pitches to get the win.
ACGC’s lone two hits came from junior Ben Kingery and sophomore Bryce Littler. The Chargers are still searching for their second win of the season, while Van Meter looks to be headed towards another trip to Principal Park. First pitch is set for 10:30am, from Guthrie Center.
