Friday, July 27th

6:58am: Brittany Smith reported the Theft of a tablet and Otter Case from 304 North Chestnut Street. The officer is investigating.

8:00am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of East Lincoln Way.

9:05am: The White Oak Station reported Receiving two Counterfeit $100.00 Bills at 303 North Elm Street. The officer is investigating.

10:10am: Officers attempted to make an arrest on a male subject at 202 High Street for a, “Parole Violation,” Arrest Warrant. The male fled from the rear door of the residence and ran away. Several officers and deputies began to search the area. Officers located the male back at the residence, attempting to leave on a motorcycle. Officers assisted the male to the ground. Robert Alan Fry, 51 of Jefferson was taken into custody for the warrant. He was also charged with, “Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree – D Felony, Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury – Serious, and Driving While Revoked – Serious.” A Jefferson officer received injuries during the event and was seen at ER. His body cam and uniform were damaged or destroyed during the event.

10:33am: Home State Bank turned in (3) Counterfeit $100.00 Bills received from three local businesses. The officer is investigating.

10:46am: Janon Olson reported a dog possibly left in a residence after subjects moved out at 604 North Olive Street. The officer checked the residence, but did not see or hear any evidence of a dog inside the residence.

12:18pm: Oly’s Corner reported a Gas Drive Off of $20.00. The business owner made contact with the subject and arranged payment for the fuel.

2:34pm: Brittany Smith reported being Assaulted by her ex-boyfriend and he run from her residence at 304 North Chestnut Street. Officers located the male in an abandoned residence in the area a short time later. James Kenneth Harris, 31 of Jefferson was arrested and charged with, “Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense – Aggravated, and Violation of a No Contact Order – Simple.”

2:36pm: Amy Blum reported the Theft of a firearm. The officer learned the event had occurred in Kansas City, MO. She was advised to report it there since it occurred in that city.

4:19pm: Janet Bryan reported kids playing in the roadway in the 100 Block of East Vest Street. The officer spoke to the children about the dangers of this behavior.

6:37pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in Park Ave. South.

10:02pm: Zachary Smith advised of cars speeding around the 400 Block of East Monroe Street and provided the officer with a description of the vehicles. The officer later spoke to subjects about the incident and warned them of the issue.

Saturday, July 28th

7:22am: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and Elm Streets resulted in Garrett DeYoung of Linden being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

10:55am: A PAWS worker advised a dog broke free while being walked in the 700 Block of West Russell Street. The dog later returned to the Animal Holding Facility.

11:19am: Jeremy Orfield reported being Assaulted by two known females at 401 North Chestnut Street. The officer is investigating.

1:48pm: Lynn Kenney reported several children left unattended in a vehicle at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

3:51pm: An officer checked on a Fire Alarm Activation at the Court House. No fire was located and all was fine.

5:08pm: An officer began an investigation into a reported Sexual Assault of an 9-year-old female in Jefferson.

9:17pm: The UPPR reported a subject Trespassing on their property near Cedar Street with a skid loader. The officer made contact with a subject loading fence posts in the area. He was on his private property, not Rail Road property.

10:32pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and South Streets resulted in Phillip Heisterkamp of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

10:39pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Orchard Ave. resulted in Dustin Evans of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

10:51pm: Officers located an Open Door at 507 West Wall Street and secured the business.

11:07pm: An officer located an Open Door in the 500 Block of Greenewood Road.

11:34pm: Gaige Buttler reported a suspicious vehicle following her and her friend near 300 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

11:48pm: Bev Luft advised of hearing an explosion, or fireworks near 300 South West Street.

Sunday, July 29th

3:00am: An officer checked on a Bank Alarm Activation at 200 West State Street. All was fine at the bank.

7:21am: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and 220th resulted in Mary Eischeid of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:39am: Larry Holtz reported a lost/stolen purse from a vehicle in the 800 Block of West Madison Street.

9:43am: Clair Erickson reported being Harassed on Face Book.

4:55pm: The White Oak Station advised a subject had pumped gas, but forgot his money at home. The officer spoke to the subject about the fuel. Arrangements were made to pay for the fuel. The officer issued Brett Michael Welch of Boone citations for, “Failure to Have a valid Driver’s License and Fraudulent Use of Registration.”

7:54pm: A caller advised of kids riding skateboards in the 100 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer did not locate the subjects.

8:23pm: A Traffic Stop in the 800 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Jennifer Marshall of Boone being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:56pm: Ashley Agan requested officers at 501 ½ East Lincoln Way Street for a fight with her father. The officers learned a Verbal Argument had been occurring between her and her father and assisted in diffusing the issue.

9:39pm: An officer checked on an ATM Alarm Activation in the 200 Block of West State Street. All was fine at the ATM.

10:48pm: An officer located an Open Door at 1801 North Elm Street. The business was secured.
