There’s still plenty of time to register for the upcoming Guthrie County farmland leasing meeting. Guthrie County ISU Extension and Outreach will be hosting the meeting on Thursday, August 16th at 7pm at their office in Guthrie Center.

The meeting will last about three hours and will be led by Extension Farm and Agriculture Business Management Specialist Steve Johnson. It will focus on various methods to determine a fair 2019 cash rental rate and the importance of good tenant/landlord communications.

Pre-registration is required at least two days before the meeting. Cost is $20 per individual or $30 per couple, and the fee is payable at the door. Participants will receive a 100-page booklet and meeting handouts designed to assist landowners, tenants, and other agri-business professionals with issues related to farmland ownership, management, and leasing arrangements.
