The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will begin with several reports, starting with an update on the industrial technology and wrestling room improvement project. Following that, the Board will discuss the ballot language for the bond issue to be presented at a special election in December. The Board will also consider a resolution approving the ballot language, as well as an agreement with SVPA Architects, which will instruct them to proceed with the schematic design phase for the project.
Raccoon Valley Radio General Manager John McGee will then present a marketing plan for the school, which the administration hopes to use in order to improve the overall perception of the District. Following the presentation, the Board will consider approving an agreement with the radio station. Other items in general business include: a new parent handbook for Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program; a plan to purchase state t-shirts for qualified athletes and activities participants for the rest of the year; and a request for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) allowable growth in the amount of $131,337.67.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
