Election Day is less than two weeks away, and there are important dates to note for Guthrie County residents who wish to avoid the polls on November 6th.

The Guthrie County Auditor’s Office will be open this Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for those wanting to vote absentee in person. Saturday is also the deadline to pre-register or request an absentee ballot by mail. County Deputy Auditor Dani Fink shares the deadline to vote absentee, “The last day to vote absentee in person will be Monday November 5th, so that’s the day before the election. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is October 27th, so if you’re wanting one by mail request it prior to then. That just ensures that we’re able to process it and get it out to you with enough time for you to mail it back.”

Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked no later than November 5th. The Guthrie County Auditor’s Office will also be open Saturday November 3rd from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Residents can register to vote, request a mailed ballot or vote in person at the auditor’s office anytime Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m
