The male student-athletes at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools begin their winter sports season today with the opening of preseason boys basketball and wrestling practice statewide. Both squads appear to have healthy numbers entering the first official practice of the 2018-19 season with boys basketball coach Aaron Mager and wrestling coach Chris Hatchitt projecting over 30 kids coming out for their respective sports this winter. The pair of longtime leaders in the district are hoping to improve on sub .500 finishes from February. The ADM boys basketball team closed last season with a 3-19 record, while the Tiger wrestling team posted a 7-18 dual record. Both varsity teams will open their competition season after the Thanksgiving holiday break.
