river ruckusGuthrie’s River Ruckus really delivered this year and the crowds enjoyed every minute of it!

According to promoter Grant Sheeder better preparation was key to making the annual event run

smoothly.

“Several lines for VIP, a little more security helped direct people to different directions and

whereever they needed. You could buy your tickets in advance for beer and for the night show,

ID in advance. Along with the Fair Board helping out by sending people to the campsites that

were unfamiliar with the grounds. There was just a lot of little things, I guess we stepped our

game up and spent a little more money and time on to make sure people were pleased when they

came and left here.”

Parking and campground space were more available and accessible compared to last year.

Businesses benefited greatly in revenue. Several businesses like Hometown Foods, Bob’s Pit

Shop, Sparky’s and Casey’s saw growth in sales.

Sheeder comments that next year’s River Ruckus will have the usual two night event, but there

are discussions of adding a Thursday night show.

Sheeder would also like to say that he can’t thank fans enough for coming, taking their time and having a good weekend in Guthrie County.
