The Iowa State Patrol has released details on a crash in Dallas County earlier this month that resulted in two passengers being ejected and the driver receiving two citations.
According to the report, 35 year-old Saw Len Oo of Waterloo was traveling west on Interstate 80 around 7:40pm Friday August 2nd. Oo attempted to change a CD in his stereo and drove his 2006 Chrysler Town and County minivan off the roadway to the left. The driver then pulled the vehicle back to the right, overcorrecting and rolling on the vehicle on the interstate. The minivan then rolled again into the ditch, landing on its top.
Neither 35 year-old Anna Naw or 2 year-old Dee Nav Naw were where wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and both were ejected from the vehicle. Both passengers were transported to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines via Dallas County EMS to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Oo was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to properly secure a child.
