National Fire Prevention Week is coming up in early October, and the Stuart Fire Department will soon be having its annual french toast supper and open house to allow local residents to check out new equipment and have their fire prevention questions answered.

This year’s open house will take place on the last day of Fire Prevention week Saturday, October 12th from 5:30-8pm.  529220_269154149846017_1951851079_n

Fire Chief Gary Fox asks that residents review fire safety plans with their children and loved ones as we approach prevention week.  His other simple prevention tip: check and replace the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Free-will offerings and donations will be accepted at the french toast supper.

Chief Fox says he is thankful for the continued support from the Stuart community, and he hopes local residents will show up to take a look at the new equipment they have helped purchase in recent months.
