Greene County and Southeast Valley (Gowrie) were to have met in a Class 2A first round boys’ basketball district tournament game Monday night in Ogden with Ogden and Woodward Academy to face off in game two of a doubleheader. The weather forecast prompted officials to postpone both games until tonight in the Ogden school gymnasium.
The Rams and SEV are scheduled to tip off at 6:30 p.m. with coverage starting at 6 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Both teams have seven wins on the season with the Rams at 15 losses and the Jaguars with 14. Greene County has lost nine of its last 11 games and SEV has lost four of its last five with the lone victory in that streak over Class 1A Paton-Churdan.
The winner goes to Rockwell City on Thursday night for an 8 p.m. contest with 20-1 South Central Calhoun on the home floor of the Titans.
