Savana Fuller pitched a gem for the ACGC softball team Monday as they topped West Central Valley 9-0 in the first round of regional play.

Fuller took a no-hitter into the seventh inning for the Chargers with her only baserunner coming on a catcher’s interference. She wasn’t quite able to finish it off though as Abby Speichinger came up with a single with one out in the seventh to break up the no-no. Fuller was able to hold onto the shut out though with six strikeouts in the game.

The senior also got it done at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored. Tori Fuller also added two hits and two runs as every Charger hitter reached base at least once in the game.

With the win, ACGC advances to face Van Meter on the road Wednesday. That game will be broadcast live on KKRF 107.9 FM.
