Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Greene County High School volleyball team won one match and lost two on Saturday at the Winterset Invitational to wrap up the regular season with a 12-19 mark. The Rams lost to Norwalk 9-21, 10-21, then won 21-11, and 21-8 over Chariton, before losing to the host Huskies by scores of 9-21, 12-21.
The coach reports Brianna Osterson had 10 kills for the tournament with six from Lily Muir and five by Haleigh Weir. Weir went 21 for 21 serving for the day. Paige Heaning was 19 for 20, Muir 11 for 12, with Aubrey Heupel 10 for 11, and Osterson and Katrina Heupel both six for seven.
Next up is Class 3A regional action vs. number seven Kuemper Catholic on the Knights’ home floor in Carroll at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
