Hotel-Pattee-Medium-Rectangle-10-14-13Perry’s historic Hotel Pattee re-open their doors tonight after being closed for more than three months.

The landmark closed abruptly on July 31st with little warning, forcing guests and those who had already booked reservations to make other arrangements.

Jay and Denise Hartz purchased the hotel in late September and have since been working on cleaning and repairs to make sure the building is ready for guests both new and old.

Chamber of Commerce executive director Bob Wilson says he’s excited to see the cornerstone of Perry’s downtown back open.

“It’s a great place to have not only lunch or dinner but host your bar mitzvah or celebration or whatever your cup of tea is.  It’s a good place to be and it’s a fun place right now because I really think the energy is at an all time high.  I’ve heard multiple employees down there just having a blast and from what I understand the place is phenomenally clean and just looks sparkling so come out and support them” says Wilson.

Jay says as of tonight they’re open for business both in the hotel and at David’s Milwaukee Diner.  He says they’re working hard to be fully ready for the influx of visitors expected to stop through this weekend during Art on the Prairie.
