As construction on the new high school and career academy on the northwest side of Jefferson progresses, the excitement over the new facility continues to build. That not only applies to students, but adults as well.
Todd Gordon is a veteran Activities Director, but he told Raccoon Valley Radio this will be the newest school he’s ever worked in. “It’s exciting. New bells and whistles don’t immediately equate to success, but I think it’s something to build on and to be proud of.”
Gordon continued, “It’s a facility we’re going to be proud to showcase, not only for Jefferson, but all of our communities. We’ve got some new things already planned for the 2020-21 school year including hosting a volleyball tournament, and we’ll host a girl/boy basketball showcase in December. These are opportunities to have more events at home, and also to show off the new facility, which we’ll take a great deal of pride in.”
