Those who have an expired driver’s license or have their expiration date is coming up may not have to worry for a while.

Governor Kim Reynolds’ Public Health Disaster Emergency Proclamation stipulates the suspension of driver’s licenses that have expired within the 60 days prior to the proclamation being issued on Tuesday and all that are going to expire while the proclamation is in effect. The proclamation also covers any vehicle registrations that may have expired. Once the proclamation has expired, the 60 day renewal period will go back into effect.

According to the Greene County Treasurer’s Office, the driver’s license station is closed during the duration that the Greene County Courthouse is closed to the public. However, staff are available to answer questions via phone or email.
