The Dallas County Foundation announced the recipients for their 2020 grant awards Friday afternoon.

Thirty-two nonprofit organizations from around the County were given a total of $95,513 for this cycle, bringing the total amount of money awarded since the Foundation’s formation in 2005 to over $1.3 million. Additionally, $42,810 was provided by the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation for broad-based community projects in Dallas County. The grants are used to enhance large and small organizations throughout the County, with the Foundation’s mission to strengthen the community now and into the future.

Some of the larger grants awarded included: $8,810 to Team RunFree for transportation and storage of adaptive run carts; $8,000 each to the Friends of the Perry Public Library and Minburn Public Library for their respective 2020 building renovation projects; $8,000 to the City of Redfield for strategic planning; and $6,763 to the Redfield Development Corporation for the StoryWalk paving project. The largest grant went to the City of Perry, with $20,000 granted for the McCreary Community Building Renovation.
