With temperatures getting warmer and spring officially here, it’s time for the City of Jefferson cemetery clean-up.

Now through Friday, Jefferson residents must remove any items from the Jefferson Municipal Cemetery and the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Items that are not in a permanent vase and are not removed after this week will be removed by City crews. City Administrator Mike Palmer urges everyone’s help with this endeavor.

“They do this a couple of times every year. It’s just a good way to kind of straighten things up especially now that spring is upon us and it won’t be longer before we’re going to start mowing.”
