adm-7

The ADM Tigers will be looking to continue to rely on excellent hitting and great starting pitching tonight in the Class 3A substate 7 championship game against the Bondurant Bluejays.

Through two games, things have been smooth sailing for the Tigers (11-7), winning 11-1 in five over both Newton and North Polk. They did not have one game on the year that they won due to run ruling their opponent. Bondurant (7-10)  is coming in with two straight wins, including beating the top team in substate in Ballard. They were able to win in extra innings by the score of 5-3.

ADM and Bondurant played in a wild contest between the two schools in June, with Bondurant getting the victory by the score of 14-13. That game had 28 hits combined, seven pitcher combined, and four errors as well as both teams didn’t play their best game of the season.

ADM will be projected to go with their senior Zach Fuller on the mound, as the ace for this Tigers team has been great all year long. He will be making his seventh start of the season with 43 strikeouts to only 11 walks and an excellent 1.75 ERA.

The further the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers go, obviously the higher the pressure goes up as they hope to advance to state. One of the keys for tonight’s game will be finding a way to not let the pressure get too high for either of these foes, as the stakes will be high.

You can listen to tonight’s game on the home of the Tigers, True Country K107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF app. First pitch from Adel will be happening at 7 o’clock, with the pregame show to get rolling a few minutes before.
