Tuesday, August 11th

12:45am: Julie Mulder spoke with an officer concerning an issue occurring at 1301 North Elm Street involving a Civil Issue with a friend’s personal property at her residence.

1:22am: Devin Burgart reported hearing cows near Russell and Elm Streets. The officer checked the area but did not locate any cattle.

2:16am: An officer located and secured an Open Door at 204 North Grimmell Road.

3:57am: David Most reported hearing an audible alarm sounding in the North Elm Street area. The officer located an alarm sounding at the Cobble Stone Hotel. Entry was gained by the Jefferson Fire Department and no smoke or fire was located. The manager of the facility was advised, as the hotel is temporarily closed.

9:47am: Officers were advised a Fed Ex truck had left the gas station in Rippey and had not paid for his fuel. The officers were asked to look for the vehicle. The driver returned a short time later and paid for his fuel.

2:44pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th & Oakland Ave. resulted in Andre Mancebo of Glenwood being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:04pm: Katheryn Dobney reported her powerline was still down over her garage at 622 South Vine Street. She was advised to contact Alliant Energy again, or an electrician.

4:23pm: An officer responded to a “Hold Up Alarm” at 303 North Elm Street. The officer learned an employee’s child had pushed the panic alarm button.

4:49pm: Michelle Murphy reported smelling the odor of natural gas at 108 West State Street on August 8th, 2020. Alliant was notified as 3 days had already passed.

6:32pm: An officer assisted the Jefferson Fire Department in the alley of the 300 Block of South Chestnut Street. A branch was on a powerline and was smoldering. Alliant was notified.

9:03pm: Tonja Wood reported the powerline to her residence at 909 West Lincoln Way Street was sparking against her house. She had called Alliant numerous times, but no one had come out yet. The Alliant crew arrived at 2144 hrs. to make repairs to the line.

11:59pm: James Harris reported a possible No Contact Violation occurring at 777 Wild Rose Lane. A Protected Party in a Protective Order against him had reportedly spoken to Harris. The officer is investigating.
