It’s Clarinda in Jefferson vs. Greene County tonight- Part II- in the second round of the Iowa high school football playoffs at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The Rams won the regular season contest 22-15 in overtime on Oct. 2 and are 6-2 overall while the Cardinals are 4-4. Both had one-sided wins last Friday in the opening round with Greene County topping Red Oak 49-0 and Clarinda winning 55-20 vs. Shenandoah.

Caden Duncan is head coach of the Rams. He talked about the rematch with Raccoon Valley Radio. “I think it’ll be a hotly contested game. We’re both pretty familiar with each other at this point and have seen each other in person, and on film a lot. We know they’re going to be amped up for it. They’re probably sitting there feeling like they should have won, and we’re sitting here feeling like we should have scored a lot more than we did.”

The coach added, “We are preparing for a very tough, physical, close, football game.”

The contest can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Game time is 7 p.m. with football coverage beginning at six o’clock.
