A month long event series returns for its third year in Guthrie Center this Saturday.

The Guthrie County Arts Council is hosting their Holiday Artist Showcase Series Saturdays from November 7th through December 5th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at their Art on State store downtown. Artists from right inside the county to across the Midwest will be selling their handmade goods while those of all ages can take part in a free make-and-take craft, enjoy free refreshments, and do some gift shopping, as new or renewing Arts Council members receive 20% off purchases. Council member Debbie Menning says they are taking some precautions because of the ongoing pandemic, “There are some things that are the same but just like with everything else in 2020 there are some things that are different. We are limited to having two pop-up artists each Saturday instead of three or four, this is being done so there is plenty of space for social distancing. We’ve also added an additional Saturday, December 5th because we wanted to accommodate as many artists as we could.”

This Saturday’s featured artists are Rebecca Scholl of Dexter and Lynsi Pasutti of Perry, and the public can make holiday cards with artist Judi Zimmerline. More information on the showcase series can be found here.
