Todd Gordon is not only the Activities Director for the Greene County School District, he’s the head girls’ basketball coach, becoming the fourth person to direct the program in the last seven seasons. He’s an experienced basketball coach, having been on the girls and boys high school level, as well as coaching college men.

The coach was asked what his goals for the season are. “Number one it’s about teaching the game, seeing improvement, teaching them to respect the game for what it does. It’s a hard game! Girls numbers around the state in a lot of programs are dwindling because it’s a hard game to play.”

He added, “It’s not all fun and games, but what we have to do is make it enjoyable to be at practice. Practice should not be the worst part of their day- practice should be one of the best parts of their day.”

The Greene County girls and boys basketball teams begin the 2020-21 seasons at home in the brand new high school gymnasium by hosting Ogden on Nov. 30. Both games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
