Paton-Churdan went 15-9 in girls’ basketball last season, and with everyone back from that team, it’s understandable there’s a lot of enthusiasm entering this season. Head Coach Tom Kennedy watched his team tie for third place in the Rolling Valley Activities Conference at 10-6. They won their first two postseason games, then falling to eventual Class 1A State Champion Newell-Fonda.

This veteran group of Rockets is led by senior Danielle Hoyle. The 6′ 3″ post player earned All-State honors last year when she averaged 18.25 points, 11.25 rebounds, and made 62.4% of her shots from the floor.

Coach Kennedy talks about the prospects for 2020-21. “We’ve got everybody back from last year and we’ll be trying to build on that and get better. Hopefully, we can avoid all the health issues that are plaguing 2020. We’re really excited about the season and we’re just glad we get a chance to play.”
