The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a rain gardens lecture next month. Iowa Garden Coach Ann Larson will present the program which will walk attendees through the easy steps it takes to create a rain garden on their property. Rain gardens are attractive and environmentally healthy ways to solve water runoff issues on your landscape while filtering rainfall for groundwater recharge.
The program will take place at the Forest Park Museum south of highway 141 in Perry on K avenue. Pre-registration is required for the free event and can be completed by calling the conservation office at 465-3577 or visiting conservation.co.Dallas.ia.us.
