Bea Mayes, 97, of Greenfield passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral Services: Will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Greenfield with burial at the Greenfield Cemetery.  Pastor Melinda Stonebraker will officiate the service.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Open Visitation:  Friends may call at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Family Visitation:  The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Survivors:   She is survived by three children: son John (Deborah) Mayes, San Antonio, TX; daughter Jane (Patrick) Beeman, Grimes; and son Craig Mayes, Des Moines; four grandchildren Sara (Sean O.) Curry, Highlands Ranch CO; Adam (Tessa) Mayes, San Antonio, TX, Jon (Leah) Beeman, Johnston, IA and Jason (JoAnn) Beeman, Madrid, IA; 8 great grandchildren: Sean Peter Curry, Brenna Kathryn Curry; Della Ann Emilia-Baden; Betty Kay Mayes-Baden, Emma Lilly Beeman, Austen River Beeman, Meagan Leigh Beeman and Ryan Michael Beeman.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Family was important in her life and she loved them all dearly.
