The IHSAA announced the Classes and Districts for the 2021 football season. The Wildcats will be apart of Class 1A in District 7.

WCV will be competing in District 7, a six team district that includes AC/GC, Panorama, Van Meter, Nodaway Valley, and Interstate 35 Community Schools. Not much will change for WCV in terms of scheduling. The only new addition to the schedule will be Interstate 35 Community School.

The Wildcats will play an eight game regular season. Five of those games will be played in district and three non-district. Due to WCV playing in 1A they will be permitted to play a ninth regular season contest should they not qualify for the postseason. Schedules for the 2021-22 seasons will be released in April. The 2021 season will kickoff Thursday, Aug. 26.
