With spring weather making its way through Iowa birds are becoming more prevalent including the Baltimore Oriole.

The Dallas County Conservation Board is giving people the opportunity to build their very own oriole bird feeder. The cost for this program is $25 which includes the building materials that are cut, drilled and painted as well as instructions. The bird feeders are designed to hold food such as oranges and grape jelly to better attract those colorful orioles.

Pre-registration is required and payment is due during the pickup times which are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 5-9 at the Forest Park Museum. For information on how to reserve your kit you can check out the DCCB social media channels.
